This is unique! Royal Dutch Airforce reads surrounding radar fingerprint in real-time
EONIC has supplied an ESM-system to Royal Dutch Airforce – and the results are astonishing. Over a band of 2 to 18 GHz, EONIC’s ESM system digitized the captured analog data at an intermediate IF of 750MHz and sampled it at a bandwidth of 500MHz. The full radar pulses of several surrounding radar systems are detected – in real-time.
Radar pulse digitally detected in real-time at IF in a 1 GSPS continuous data stream. Only the digitized pulse is formatted and send to back-end processing unit for analysis.

'This is a unique development' comments Laurens Bierens, CTO of EONIC. 'Never before have radar signals been detected in such detail in real-time'. The ESM system is equipped with a fast and flexible processing unit developed by EONIC and software developed by TNO-FEL.
