A COOL NEW PLATFORM FOR SIGINT, COMINT AND ELINT
A new generation of SIGINT, COMINT and ELINT recorders has arrived on the market. The systems are small, light-weight and generate little heat. They can be deployed in combination with legacy receivers and provide both on-site real-time data analysis as well as high-speed data recording or offline analysis.
The ELINT recording systems that have been used up to now are largely based on magnetic tape devices, which cannot meet the current demands and are limited in scope and lifetime. The first generation ELINT (VME-based) digital systems has been an important step forward, but they tend to be rather bulky, occupying valuable space. They also generate too much heat.
Innovative ELINT systems, such as designed by EONIC BV (Delft, The Netherlands) enable easy migration to compact, power-efficient digital data acquisition and recording units. EONIC’s systems are modular, enabling custom hardware configurations with one or multiple high-speed, broadband digitizers for SIGINT or ELINT
